Why is my top-up flagged and how do I resolve It?

Learn why your Top Up might be flagged and how to resolve it.

Your top-up will be flagged if the payment was sent from a third-party account or from a bank account that is not linked to your BVN.

Breet needs to confirm that the funds came from you for security and compliance reasons.


How to resolve a flagged top-up

  1. Open the flagged transaction and tap "Resolve".

  2. Choose one of the following options:

Upload Transaction Receipt
Resolves the specific flagged transaction. Use this if you want to confirm the payment for this top-up only.

Complete Advanced Verification (KYC)
Verifies your identity so future top-ups from the same account are not flagged again.

Please Note:

  • We may choose to refund flagged third-party top ups to source account if the information provided is not sufficient.
