How do I create and fund my Breet Virtual Account (VBA)?

Learn how to create and fund your Breet wallet using local bank transfer.

Your Breet Virtual Account (VBA) lets you fund your Breet wallet through transfer from your local bank to a dedicated bank account.

To get started, you need to complete two steps: Verify your KYC and generate a Virtual account.

Step 1. Verify your KYC

  1. Tap "Top-Up" on the Wallet page, or go to Profile > Account Settings > KYC.

  2. Nigerian users should select "BVN" as the ID type. Ghanaian users can choose any available option.

  3. Enter your details and take a clear selfie.

  4. Tap "Verify Your KYC" to complete the process.

Step 2. Generate your virtual account

  1. Tap the "Wallet" icon at the bottom of your dashboard.

  2. Tap "Top-Up".

  3. Tap "Continue" to generate your virtual account.

Please Note — Nigerian users:

  • You must verify your KYC using the BVN option to create a virtual account. If you used a different ID type before, you will need to enter your BVN to proceed.

  • A 1.5% service fee applies to all top-ups, capped at a maximum of ₦1,000.

  • Your virtual account is permanent. You only need to generate it once.

  • Top ups from third-party accounts (i.e. an account that is not linked to your BVN) will not be processed.

Please Note — Ghanaian users:

  • Your virtual account expires after 5 minutes and can only be funded once within that time. A new account is generated each time you want to top up.

  • A 1.5% service fee applies to every top-up. Include this fee when entering your top-up amount.

  • Always transfer the exact amount shown on the account page. Do not send more or less.
