Good news! You can now create your own virtual bank account on Breet. This account lets you fund your wallet easily through bank transfers, pay bills directly on the app, or top up your balance for withdrawals.
What You Need to Do
To create your virtual account, complete these two steps:
Verify your KYC
Generate a virtual account
Verify Your KYC
To verify your identity, we require your BVN as part of our Know Your Customer (KYC) process.
Follow these simple steps:
Start verification by tapping Top-Up on the Wallet page, or go to Profile > Account Settings > KYC.
Select BVN if you’re a Nigerian user, or choose any available option if you’re a Ghanaian user.
Enter your details and take a clear selfie.
Tap Verify Your KYC to complete the process.
Super easy!
Generate Virtual Wallet
To fund your account, you first need to generate a virtual bank account. To do so;
1. Tap the “wallet” icon at the bottom of your dashboard page.
2. Then select “Top-up.”
3. Tap "Continue" to generate your account. Nigerian users only need to do this once, while Ghanaian users will get a new account each time they want to top up.
Note for Nigerian Users
You must verify your KYC using the BVN option to create a virtual bank account. If you used another option before, you’ll need to enter your BVN to proceed.
A 1.5% service fee applies to all top-ups. However, there's a maximum fee cap of N1,000. This means you’ll never pay more than ₦1,000 in fees.
Note for Ghana Users
Your virtual bank account expires after 5 minutes and can only be funded once within that time.
A 1.5% service fee applies to every top-up. Include this fee when entering your top-up amount.
Transfer the exact amount shown on the account page. Do not send more or less.
