You can revoke bot access anytime from your Breet app (under Security Settings).
Nevertheless, you can also keep your account safe while using the Telegram bot by doing the following:
Only use the official Breet Telegram bot (@Breet_Assistant_Bot)
Set up Autodelete on the telegram chat, so old conversations can be cleared automatically for privacy reasons.
Lock your telegram app with a passcode.
Never share your OTP, password, or 2FA codes with anyone.
Log out of Telegram on devices you no longer use
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. Do I need a Breet account before using the Telegram bot?
Yes. The bot works with your existing Breet account. You must create account on Breet before you can log in through the bot.
2. Is the Telegram bot safe to use?
Yes. The bot is secure and connected directly to your Breet account through encrypted channels. Just make sure you're using the official Breet bot (Breet_Telegram_Assistant).
3. Can I withdraw or send money through the bot?
Yes. For security reasons, you can only withdraw to bank accounts you’ve already added inside the Breet app. Also, a 2FA code sent to your email is required for withdrawal.
4. Why can’t I add a bank account through the Telegram bot?
We don’t allow users to add or change bank accounts inside the bot for security reasons.
When it comes to money, the safest systems combine at least two security factors:
What you know → passwords, PINs
What you have → your phone, email
What you are → biometrics like fingerprint or Face ID
Telegram only gives us one factor — what you have.
If someone gets access to your phone, they instantly have:
your Telegram
your email
your active session
Meaning they could add a bank account and withdraw your money with zero resistance. Not good.
So to protect your funds, all sensitive actions (like adding a bank account) must happen inside the app, where we can enforce multiple layers of security.
Your money is safer this way, and that’s the whole point.
5. Why am I not getting notifications from the bot?
Make sure:
You enabled notifications on Telegram
You didn’t mute the bot
You connected your Breet account properly
If it still doesn’t work, contact our support.
6. Can the bot see my private Telegram messages?
No. The bot only sees the commands you send to it. It has no access to your chats, groups, or contacts.
7. Does the bot work without internet?
No. The bot needs an active internet connection to work.
8. Can I use the bot on multiple devices?
Yes, as long as your Telegram account is active on those devices.
9. Can I talk to customer support through the bot?
No. The bot cannot chat like a human. For support, use the in-app chat or email support@breet.app.
10. What happens if my Telegram account gets hacked?
Go to your Breet app → Security Settings → Bot Connections → Revoke Connection.
This instantly disconnects the bot from your account.
