About Breet Bots (Whatsapp and Telegram Bots)

Here's all you need to know about the Breet bot.

The Breet Telegram and WhatsApp bots let you access key Breet features directly inside your preferred messaging app. They do not replace the Breet app — they give you a faster way to use Breet without opening the app every time.

What you can do with the bots

  • Receive transaction notifications

  • Check live crypto rates

  • Check your wallet balances (NGN, GHS, and USD)

  • Withdraw to your saved bank accounts (MFA verification required)

  • Get your crypto deposit addresses

  • View recent crypto transactions and withdrawals

  • Get your bank account list

  • Log out when you no longer need access

Everything the bots show comes directly from your Breet account.

What you cannot do with the bots

  • Add a new bank account (do this in the Breet app)

  • Change your Breet profile details

  • Disable security settings

  • Reset your password or perform other sensitive actions

  • Chat with customer support (use in-app chat or email support@breet.app)

Security

Breet keeps the bots secure by:

  • Only allowing withdrawals to bank accounts already added in the Breet app.

  • Requiring MFA verification (Email OTP or Authenticator code) for login and withdrawals.

  • Allowing you to revoke bot access anytime from Settings > Security Settings in the Breet app.

For an extra layer of security, enable MFA on your Breet account. You can choose between Email OTP or Authenticator App. See: How to Set Up and Manage MFA on Breet

To keep your Telegram account safe

  • Only use the official Breet Telegram bot (@Breet_Assistant_Bot).

  • Set up auto-delete on the Telegram chat to clear old conversations automatically.

  • Lock your Telegram app with a passcode.

  • Never share your OTP, password, or authentication codes with anyone.

  • Log out of Telegram on devices you no longer use.

To keep your WhatsApp account safe

  • Only use the official Breet WhatsApp number (+2348038004132). Verify it from the Breet app before interacting.

  • Enable Disappearing Messages on the WhatsApp chat so conversation history clears automatically after a set duration.

  • Lock your WhatsApp app with fingerprint or Face ID under Privacy > App Lock.

  • Never share your OTP, password, or authentication codes with anyone.

  • Review and log out of active WhatsApp Web or Desktop sessions you no longer use under Linked Devices.

FAQs

Do I need a Breet account to use the bots?

Yes. The bots work with your existing Breet account. You must sign up on Breet before you can log in through either bot.

Are the bots safe to use?

Yes. The bots are connected to your Breet account through encrypted channels. Always make sure you are using the official Breet Telegram bot or WhatsApp number.

Can I withdraw money through the bots?

Yes. You can only withdraw to bank accounts already saved in your Breet app. MFA verification (Email OTP or Authenticator code) is required for every withdrawal.

Why can't I add a bank account through the bots?

For security. Messaging apps only provide one authentication factor. All sensitive actions must happen inside the Breet app, where multiple security layers are enforced.

Why am I not getting notifications from the bots?

Check that you have enabled notifications on Telegram or WhatsApp, that you have not muted the bot or chat, and that your Breet account is properly connected. If the issue continues, contact support via in-app chat or email support@breet.app.

Can the bots see my private messages?

No. The bots only see the commands you send directly to them. They have no access to your chats, groups, or contacts.

What if my Telegram or WhatsApp account gets hacked?

Go to Settings > Security Settings > Bot Connections in the Breet app and tap "Revoke Connection". This instantly disconnects the bot from your account.
