What does “We Detected a Wrong Asset Deposit” mean?

Last updated on Nov 04, 2026

This means a coin was sent to one of your Breet addresses before a wallet was opened for that coin. For example, USDT on Ethereum was sent to your Ethereum (ETH) address.

If Breet supports the coin, Breet opens the wallet for you and processes the deposit as a normal sale. You’ll get an email titled “Heads up! We detected a wrong asset deposit”.

What happens next?

The deposit is processed like any other sale, with the same confirmations, checks, minimum amount, and fee. If the amount is below the minimum for that coin, the deposit is held as Flagged and you can resolve it.

I sent a coin by mistake, but I didn’t get an email

Reach out to the Breet team on your dedicated Slack channel and share the transaction hash.

Please Note: Some coins and networks can’t be recovered. Always check the coin and network for the address before you send.
