Why You May Be Having Trouble Setting or Resetting Your Transaction PIN

Updated this week

You may have trouble setting your transaction pin because of one of the following reasons:

  1. You’re coming from Breet 2.0 and still trying to use a 6-digit PIN.
With the upgrade to Breet 3.0, the PIN format has changed from 6 digits to 4 digits. You’ll need to create a new 4-digit PIN that meets the updated requirements.

  2. You repeated numbers during the process. Make sure to use different numbers without repetition. For example, use 4186 or 7890 — do not use 1167 or 1998.

  3. The pin you chose is too easy to guess. For your security, you need to set a stronger pin. Avoid using simple or commonly used PINs like 1234, 0000, or 1111. Choose something less predictable.

  4. You didn’t confirm the same PIN; when setting PIN, you’ll be asked to enter it twice — first to create it, then to confirm it. Make sure both entries match exactly. If they don’t, you won’t be able to proceed.

Whatever the issue is, an error message will appear on the screen. If you’re unsure how to proceed, feel free to reach out to our support team for help.
